Research Fellowships at the DLA
(Deutsches Literaturarchiv Marbach, Germany)
The Deutsches Literaturarchiv Marbach (DLA), in cooperation with the Department of German, offers up to two research fellowships per year for advanced graduate students (preferably dissertators). The purpose of the fellowship is to support and strengthen research based on original archival material of 20th- and 21st-century authors, to further develop working skills with archival material, and to heighten scholarly sensitivity for editorial and philological questions, as also emphasized in courses taught in the Department of German. The DLA is world famous for its holdings of manuscripts, image- and audio-material of 20th- and 21st-century authors of German language, rare books, and periodicals.
Professor Adler (hadler@wisc.edu) serves as faculty coordinator and liaison between the Department and the DLA.
Applicants are encouraged to contact him when preparing their application.
