Support the Department of German's Endowment and Trust Funds!

"...mich selbst, ganz wie ich da bin, auszubilden, das war dunkel von Jugend auf mein Wunsch und meine Absicht," said Wilhelm Meister in the Lehrjahre
Self-education may be cheap, but a university education is not, especially the excellent education offered by the German Department at the University of Wisconsin. While income from the Wisconsin State Legislature and tuition fees help cover many of our projects and some of our outstanding students, the real difference between the good and great depends on the financial support we receive from generous alumnae/i, who contribute amounts ranging from a few dollars to several hundred, and sometimes even more. We are able to invest these donations through the UW Foundation and use the earnings to cover a wide range of undergraduate and graduate scholarships, stipends for study abroad, and various cultural or academic programs that enrich the German Department's offerings. You make the difference!

You may wish to consider a bequest to the Department of German when making out your will. The UW Foundation is our partner in fundraising, and you can give online here:
https://www.uwfoundation.wisc.edu/giving/giving2.nsf/prefill?openform&seq=1067

Chris Glueck is our contact there for all questions.

Phone: 608 / 265-9952
E-mail: Chris.Glueck@uwfoundation.wisc.edu

Or you can simply send a check made out to the "UW Foundation" with a note that it be directed to the German Department endowment or Netherlandic Studies Fund.
